Thursday, August 28 – Final Ice Cream Night of the Season
We’re closing out the season with one of our most-loved creations: God Save the Kouign Sundae. This returning favorite from 2022 pairs scoops of caramel ice cream with salted caramel sauce, a cloud of whipped cream, and a cherry—all served over our housemade Kouign-Amann (“queen ah-mahn”).
A Kouign-Amann is a traditional pastry from Brittany, France, known for its buttery, flaky layers and caramelized sugar crust. It’s like a cross between a croissant and a caramelized tart—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and utterly unforgettable.
Because we bake a special batch just for this night—and it takes over 24 hours from start to finish—we try to anticipate demand, but sometimes we sell out before the evening ends. Thank you for understanding if this sundae disappears early; it’s a true labor of love.

Our ice cream season may be ending, but your freezer doesn’t have to know it. This year, we’re offering pints of our most-loved flavors—plus a few we’re testing for next year—so you can enjoy a taste of summer long after our final ice cream night. Whether you’re craving classics like Vanilla and Chocolate, seasonal favorites like Cinnamon, Caramel, or Coconut Chip, or sampling flavors we’re considering for next year, preordering is the best way to make sure you get exactly what you want.
Pints will be available for pickup on our last ice cream night, Thursday, August 28. Preorders close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 25, and with limited quantities available, we recommend ordering early to guarantee your favorites. We will also have a limited number of extra pints available at the walk-up window that night for purchase without a preorder—first-come, first-served

Salted Caramel Cold Brew Sundae – Two scoops of Java Chip ice cream with salted caramel sauce, coffee toffee bits, and whipped cream.
Specialty Sundaes – Like the Nacho Average Sundae, topped with croissant waffles, caramel, and M&M’s.
"I Only Have Pies for You" Sundae – A scoop of ice cream paired with Michigan cherry slab pie.
Old-Fashioned Floats – Made with Sprecher’s sodas in flavors like root beer, cherry cola, and orange dream.
Ice Cream Sandwiches – One XL scoop of ice cream between two fresh-baked cookies.
Affogatos – A scoop of vanilla ice cream, drenched in Caffe Umbria espresso.
Thursday Night Vibes in Downtown Skokie
Ice Cream Night is part of Downtown Skokie’s Open Late Thursdays, drawing a lively crowd every week. We have outdoor seating, complimentary water, and a dog-friendly atmosphere—because pups deserve treats too! (Ask for a Pup Sundae!)
