Some of our best menu items started as customer suggestions. The Sundae Society gives our guests the chance to help shape the menu, one scoop at a time.

There are two ways to participate:

Submit your idea using the form on this page, through social media, or by filling out a Sundae Society form in the bakery.

Each Thursday during Ice Cream Night, we'll feature a customer-inspired sundae selected from submitted ideas.

If we choose your sundae:

Your sundae becomes our Featured Sundae of the Week
Two complimentary sundaes
Your name featured on the menu (optional)
Entry into the annual Sundae Society Championship

Each time you purchase a featured Sundae Society sundae, you'll earn a stamp in your Sundae Society Passport.

Sundae Society Rules

Sundae suggestions must be practical for our team to produce with available ingredients and equipment.

A guest may earn only one stamp per featured sundae.

We may modify submitted ideas to improve flavor, presentation, availability, or operational feasibility.

Multiple guests may submit similar ideas. Selection is based on the final featured sundae, not the order in which suggestions are received.

Featured sundaes are available while supplies last.

Complimentary sundaes and prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Passport stamps are awarded for the purchase of a featured Sundae Society sundae.

One passport stamp per featured sundae purchase.

Lost or damaged passports cannot be replaced.

Kneads & Wants reserves the right to discontinue, modify, or update the Sundae Society program at any time.

At Kneads and Wants, we believe ice cream should be just as fun, creative, and memorable as the rest of our bakery. We proudly serve super-premium ice cream made locally by Capannari Ice Cream in small batches, with rotating seasonal flavors available year-round. Alongside classic scoops, we create specialty sundaes you genuinely won’t find anywhere else, often combining bakery elements, nostalgic flavors, unexpected toppings, and house-made sauces into desserts that feel playful, over-the-top, and uniquely ours.

Thursday nights are especially sweet around here. Even though ice cream is now available every night, Thursdays remain our dedicated Ice Cream Night tradition in Downtown Skokie, featuring rotating sundae specials, limited-time creations, and special pricing on select sundaes all summer long.

Sundaes, Floats, Milkshakes & More!

Our Ice Cream Nights menu features all your favorites, along with specialty sundaes you genuinely won’t find anywhere else. We use a large 3 oz scoop for our ice cream servings, because tiny scoops belong in sad amusement parks, not at a bakery.

Salted Caramel Cold Brew Sundae – Java Chip ice cream topped with salted caramel sauce, coffee toffee bits, whipped cream, and a cherry.

Specialty Sundaes – Favorites like the Velvet Pistachio Crunch, inspired by Dubai chocolate, the Blue Skies & Sunshine Sundae with limoncello sorbet, blueberry sauce, and sunflower seeds, and the wildly over-the-top Nacho Average Sundae.

Thursday Night Sundae Specials – Every Thursday features rotating limited-time creations like the God Save the Kouign sundae, plus special pricing on select sundaes as part of our Downtown Skokie Ice Cream Night tradition.

Thick Milkshakes – Made with three generous scoops of super-premium ice cream for an extra thick, old-school milkshake experience.

Old-Fashioned Floats – Made with Sprecher’s sodas in flavors like root beer, cherry cola, and orange dream.

Ice Cream Sandwiches – One XL scoop of ice cream between two fresh-baked cookies.

Affogatos – Vanilla ice cream drenched in freshly pulled Caffè Umbria espresso.

Thursday Night Vibes in Downtown Skokie

Ice Cream Night is part of Downtown Skokie’s Open Late Thursdays, drawing a lively crowd every week. We have outdoor seating, complimentary water, and a dog-friendly atmosphere—because pups deserve treats too! (Ask for a Pup Sundae!)
