$7 Anniversary Mystery Boxes
Official Sweepstakes Rules
The Mystery Box Details
Throughout September, Kneads & Wants is celebrating seven years with $7 Anniversary Mystery Boxes.
Each $7 Mystery Box entitles you to choose four housemade jumbo cookies from the flavors available when the box is filled. You may select your four cookies when purchasing the box or bring the unfilled box back to Kneads & Wants for a cookie fill through October 20, 2026. All cookie flavors and quantities are subject to availability.
Each purchased Mystery Box also contains one randomly selected, opaque, sealed envelope. Inside the envelope is an instant-win game piece. We created 200 game pieces, and exactly 100 are winners. One out of every two game pieces produced is a winning game piece. A winning game piece identifies the prize and also serves as the prize-redemption card. Keep the original card because it must be presented to claim the prize.
Each person may redeem only one winning prize during the promotion.
Mystery Boxes are available in person throughout September, while supplies last.

Official Rules
Kneads & Wants 7th Anniversary Instant-Win Promotion
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
The Kneads & Wants 7th Anniversary Instant-Win Promotion is sponsored by Kneads & Wants Artisan Bakery and Cafe, 8042 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, Illinois 60077 (“Sponsor”).
1. Promotion Period
The promotion begins September 1, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. Central Time and ends September 30, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Central Time, or when all 200 game pieces have been distributed, whichever occurs first (“Promotion Period”).
Mystery Boxes and game pieces are available only while supplies last.
2. Eligibility
The promotion is open only to legal residents of Illinois who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible. The promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Game Pieces
The Sponsor has created 200 instant-win game pieces. Exactly 100 are winning game pieces, and 100 are nonwinning game pieces. Each game piece is enclosed in an identical, opaque, sealed envelope. All 200 sealed envelopes will be thoroughly mixed before distribution. The Sponsor will not inspect or open an envelope before distributing it. A winning game piece identifies the applicable prize and serves as the required prize-redemption card. A nonwinning game piece will state that it is not a winner.
4. How to Participate With a Mystery Box Purchase
During the Promotion Period, customers may purchase a $7 Anniversary Mystery Box in person at Kneads & Wants Artisan Bakery and Cafe, while supplies last.
Each Mystery Box entitles the purchaser or recipient to select four jumbo cookies from the flavors available when the box is filled. Each purchased Mystery Box includes one randomly selected, sealed game-piece envelope. The box may be filled at the time of purchase or returned for a cookie fill through October 20, 2026. Cookie flavors and quantities are subject to availability. The original unfilled box must be presented for a later cookie fill. Unfilled boxes expire on October 20, 2026.
The Mystery Box purchase is a separate retail transaction. The customer remains entitled to four eligible cookies regardless of whether the game piece is a winner.
5. Mail-In Game-Piece Request
No purchase is required to request a game piece by mail.
To request a free game piece, an eligible participant must hand-print the following information on a 3-by-5-inch card:
Full legal name.
Complete residential mailing address. No P.O. boxes will be accepted.
Email address.
Telephone number.
Date of birth.
The statement: “I am requesting a free game piece for the Kneads & Wants 7th Anniversary Instant-Win Promotion.”
Place the completed card inside a stamped outer envelope.
Include a stamped, self-addressed return envelope and mail the request to:
Kneads & Wants 7th Anniversary Instant-Win Promotion
8042 Lincoln Avenue
Skokie, Illinois 60077
Mail-in requests must be postmarked by September 18, 2026, and received by September 23, 2026. Limit one free mail-in game-piece request per residential mailing address during the entire Promotion Period. Requests submitted using different names but the same residential address will be treated as one household request. If multiple requests are received for the same residential address, only the first valid request received will be honored. All subsequent requests associated with that address will be void. Each outer envelope may contain only one request.
Mechanically reproduced, photocopied, incomplete, illegible, late, postage-due, misdirected, or improperly submitted requests are void.
For the first valid request received from an eligible household, the Sponsor will randomly select one unopened game-piece envelope from the same mixed pool used for purchased Mystery Boxes. The Sponsor will place that unopened game-piece envelope inside the participant’s self-addressed stamped envelope and return it by mail. The Sponsor will not inspect or open the game-piece envelope before mailing it. A free mail-in request includes one game piece only. It does not include a Mystery Box or cookies. Mail-in requests will be honored only while undistributed game pieces remain available.
A properly submitted mail-in request does not guarantee that a game piece will remain available when the request is received.
The Sponsor is not responsible for mail that is late, lost, damaged, stolen, incomplete, illegible, postage-due, or misdirected.
6. Prize Limit
Each person may redeem no more than one winning prize during the entire promotion, regardless of the number of game pieces obtained or the method by which the game pieces were obtained.
If the same person obtains more than one winning game piece, only the first winning game piece presented to and verified by the Sponsor may be redeemed. Any additional winning game pieces held or presented by the same person will be void and will not be replaced or reassigned. Game pieces and prizes may not be sold or transferred.
7. Odds
At the beginning of the promotion, the overall odds associated with an individual game piece are 100 in 200, or 1 in 2.
Each individual game piece has the same chance of being a winning game piece at the time the envelopes are initially mixed. Because game pieces are distributed without replacement, the composition and odds represented by the remaining undistributed game pieces may change during the promotion. The odds of receiving a particular prize depend on the number of that prize available and the number of undistributed game pieces remaining. Purchased and mail-in game pieces are randomly selected from the same mixed pool.
Not every game piece may be distributed. Some prizes may therefore remain unclaimed.
8. Determining Whether a Game Piece Is a Winner
A participant must open the sealed envelope to determine whether the enclosed game piece is a winner. A winning game piece will identify the prize or prize category and provide redemption instructions.
The game piece itself serves as the prize-redemption card and must be retained.
A game piece is invalid if it is counterfeit, copied, mechanically reproduced, sold, transferred, altered, tampered with, damaged beyond verification, illegible, obtained through an unauthorized method, presented by an ineligible participant, or otherwise inconsistent with these Official Rules. The Sponsor’s verification of the original game piece and the participant’s eligibility is final, subject to applicable law.
9. Claiming and Redeeming a Prize
To claim or schedule a prize, the potential winner must present the original winning game piece to Kneads & Wants Artisan Bakery and Cafe.
Unless the winning card or these Official Rules state otherwise, prizes must be redeemed or scheduled no later than October 20, 2026. The Sponsor may require valid government-issued photo identification, proof of Illinois residency, current contact information, a completed eligibility or prize-claim form, and the original winning game piece. Photographs, screenshots, photocopies, reproductions, or altered game pieces will not be accepted.
A participant is not a confirmed winner until the Sponsor verifies the original game piece, eligibility, compliance with these Official Rules, and satisfaction of all prize-claim requirements.
If a potential winner does not claim or schedule the prize by the applicable deadline, cannot establish eligibility, fails to comply with these Official Rules, or presents an invalid game piece, the prize will be forfeited. An alternate winner will not necessarily be selected for an unclaimed instant-win prize. Lost, stolen, destroyed, damaged, or altered game pieces will not be replaced.
Once a prize has been fulfilled, the Sponsor will mark the winning card as redeemed and retain it.

No cash alternative will be provided except where required by law. Prizes may not be sold, transferred, combined with another discount or promotion, or redeemed for cash. Winners are responsible for any taxes or expenses not expressly included with a prize.
17. Food and Allergen Notice
Products may contain or come into contact with milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, and other allergens. The oatmeal raisin cookie is made without gluten-containing ingredients, but the Sponsor cannot guarantee an allergen-free or gluten-free production environment. Winners and customers are responsible for reviewing ingredients and determining whether a product is suitable for them before accepting or consuming it.
18. Conduct and Disqualification
The Sponsor may disqualify any person who tampers with a game piece or the distribution or redemption process.
The Sponsor may disqualify any person who submits false or misleading information, copies or alters a game piece, attempts to redeem more than one prize, interferes with the fair administration of the promotion, or otherwise violates these Official Rules.
Any attempt to deliberately damage the promotion or undermine its legitimate operation may violate civil or criminal law.
The Sponsor reserves the right to pursue available remedies.
19. Errors, Modification, or Termination
The number of prizes awarded will not exceed the number stated in these Official Rules.
If a printing, production, distribution, or other error results in more apparent winning game pieces than available prizes, the Sponsor may conduct a random drawing among eligible, verified claimants for the affected prize or prizes, to the extent permitted by law.
If fraud, tampering, technical failure, severe weather, government action, supply interruption, or another circumstance beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control materially affects the promotion, the Sponsor may suspend, modify, or terminate it in a manner consistent with applicable law.
20. Privacy
Information collected in connection with the promotion will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, communicate with potential winners, and fulfill prizes.
